I don’t really care about her image drama and whatever else, dgaf so hard, because I get it: she wanted to be in the industry so she manufactured herself into something that would be successful (probably not sustainable, but on a short term level, yes, successful). Yes, her stage name is stupid and her face looks like it is made out of wax/silicon. Whatever girl, do what you gotta do, I don’t care.
But JESUS FUCKING CHRIST her music is some monotonous bullshit.
Not that I am an authority on amazing music—I love top 40 as much as I love phil elverum as much as I love dinosaur jr as much as I love blink 182—my tastes are varied (read: mostly unironically shitty) and I can enjoy basically anything, but the few songs of hers I’ve heard are pretty unbearable, as in I couldn’t finish any of the songs I tried listening to because I found myself banging my head against my laptop and my brain was yelling ‘make it stooooooopppp pleeeeeeeeeeease.’
So there’s that.
