I am pretty sick right now, and my cycle decided this was a good time to remind me that I’m a woman, so basically my whole body is in this intense ache-y pain with flu-y nausea and I can’t breathe without wheezing a lil bit. Cool, thanks nature.
So I’m curled up on my bed (I keep alternating between roly poly-ing on my side, and child’s pose) watching tv on my computer and trolling the internet, and lily keeps licking my hands and trying to crawl up onto my chest and eventually curling into my side and staring at me with these sad eyes and occasionally pressing her nose into my shoulder, I think because she can tell that I’m in pain and kind of miserable. And maybe I’m just emotional because I just watched Toy Story 3 (again, oops, blame netflix), or maybe I feel overly connected to her because of that stupid (but not stupid, actually really cool and interesting) dog documentary on nova, but this is why dogs are the best, and no other animal, including and especially cats, will ever be as good as or have the same connection to humans as dogs.
